The mid-range artillery unit Zssa, as it appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, is finally joining the HGUC 1/144 lineup. With newly sculpted parts, accurate proportions, and colored molding that reflects its distinct appearance in ZZ, this kit brings the heavy missile unit to life in detail.
- New forearm parts: The forearm shape differs from the Unicorn Ver. and is faithfully recreated with new molding.
- Loaded with missiles: True to its in-series role as a bombardment unit, the Zssa comes bristling with missile launchers across its frame, embodying its function as a powerful mid-range attacker.
- Booster pods: The optional booster pods are detachable, recreating the suit’s atmospheric mobility and expanded missile armament.
The Zssa’s imposing, stocky yellow frame has been recreated with colored molding. From missile ports to armor detail, every feature conveys its role as a mass-production artillery machine of Neo Zeon.
The AMX-102 Zssa was designed as a support bombardment unit, developed to operate alongside the AMX-101 Galluss-J. Distinguished by its large missile payload of 44 launchers built into its frame, it was also equipped with two 30mm vulcan guns, a scattering beam gun, and four beam sabers for close encounters. Test pilot Mashymre Cello operated a prototype carrying shoulder missile pods, which proved successful and led to mass production. The optional booster pod added even more firepower, carrying two shoulder pods and two four-tube missile racks, while granting atmospheric flight capability.
