  As the starting point of the legendary RX Project, the 01 Gundam marked the Earth Federation Forces’ first step toward creating the RX-78 series. Its black-and-white color scheme and visor-style head unit, reminiscent of the RX-77 line, gave it a distinctive and experimental look.
