GUNDAM - P-Bandai 1/144 HGUC GM II Desert Color Ver.

Fans of the "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" series, the GM II Desert Color Version makes its highly anticipated debut in the High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) lineup. This model kit brings to life the iconic mobile suit as it shortly appeared in the "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" OVA, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the rich and detailed universe of Gundam.

The GM II Desert Color Version of the "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" demonstrates the character's ongoing popularity and significance in the Gundam franchise. The feet, chest, and shield are all black, whereas the rest of the armor is beige. This HGUC model kit commemorates its OVA counterpart while also giving modelers the opportunity to possess a piece of Gundam history.

The Earth Federation Forces' mass-production mobile suit from the One Year War, the RGM-79 GM, was improved upon in the GM II. Its sub-sensor units and vernier thrusters were improved over its predecessor. It also updated from a beam spray pistol to a bespoke beam rifle as its primary armament, and it was powered by a new 1,500kw class generator. Lastly, under the interference of Minovsky particles, its adversary search capability was enhanced. But in the end, it was just a slight enhancement over the original GM.

GM IIs bearing the model number "RGM-79R" were primarily updated versions of pre-war GM vehicles manufactured during World War I. Units upgraded subsequent to U.C. 0085 were furnished with a JTS-17F linear seat manufactured by Anaheim Electronics and a panoramic cockpit. The ones bearing the "RMS-179" model number were fresh out of the Titans Gryps facility. One story claimed that the RMS-179 outperformed the RGM-79R. It was said that a total of over 10,000 GM II units were built.
