I really loved working on this piece from start to finish. Something I've found a little frustrating with other, older kits from this brand is that with white paints especially, a lack of primer means wood used in the kit is still visible even when you're three or four coats in. This kit used wallpaper which was much less of a hassle and quicker to put together! The theme is so much fun and putting together the evidence board was by FAR my favorite part. But I also love that the desk drawer actually moves and the little molded pieces like the typewriter and the bag. This kit was also more accessible as all the smallest paper pieces were in a specific perforated sheet and could just be popped right out to paste down. The one thing I had an issue with was that the wires for the lamp didn't strip very well and I wasted a lot of cable trying to expose the inside for connections. Even so I really truly 10000% recommend this kit, it is such a delight!!
